Maintenance of reverse osmosis water generator

  • Release time: 2023-03-14

Reverse osmosis water generator is a water treatment equipment manufactured using reverse osmosis technology. Due to its advantages such as high filtration efficiency and stable water quality, it is widely used in household life, industrial production, and other fields. However, with the growth of usage time, reverse osmosis water generators will also encounter various problems, such as slow water flow, unstable water temperature, filter element fouling, and leakage. In order to extend the service life of the equipment and ensure water quality, it is necessary to regularly maintain and maintain the reverse osmosis water generator. This article will introduce the maintenance methods of reverse osmosis water generator.
I. Regularly replace the filter element
The filter element is one of the most important components in a reverse osmosis water generator, which can effectively filter impurities and harmful substances in water. The replacement time of the filter element varies depending on the usage. Generally, the prefilter needs to be replaced every 3 to 6 months, and the reverse osmosis filter element needs to be replaced every 12 to 18 months. If the filter element exhibits abnormal conditions such as fouling and bacteria, the replacement time should also be advanced.
When replacing the filter element, it is necessary to first close the water inlet valve and power switch, remove the filter element, clean the bottom and inside of the filter element, install a new filter element, and tighten it. After installation, open the water inlet valve, evacuate the internal air, and then power on for use.
II.  Cleaning water tank
The water tank is a water reservoir in a reverse osmosis water generator. Some models may accumulate harmful substances such as scale and bacteria in the water tank, affecting water quality and service life. To ensure water quality, it is necessary to regularly clean the water tank.
Before cleaning the water tank, it is necessary to cut off the water and turn off the power supply. Drain all the water in the water tank and take out the water tank. Wipe the inside and outside of the water tank with clean water, and pay attention to cleaning the bottom of the water tank and the outlet pipe to ensure that they are clean and free of odor. During cleaning, a cleaning agent can be added to clean water. After cleaning, install it back, drain the water in the water tank, and power it on for use.
3. Check the pipes and connectors
Pipelines and joints are important components that connect various components inside the reverse osmosis water generator. If the pipelines or joints are damaged or loose, they can cause problems such as slow water flow and water leakage.
Regularly check the connection of pipelines and connectors, and immediately handle any loose or damaged components. For joints that lack sealing components such as gaskets or silicone, they need to be added. At the same time, it is also necessary to clean the joints to ensure smooth water flow.
4. Regular disinfection
After long-term use of reverse osmosis water generators, bacteria may accumulate in water tanks and pipelines, affecting water quality and life safety. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly disinfect the reverse osmosis water generator.
Before disinfection, close the water inlet valve and power switch to drain the internal water. Add the prepared disinfectant to the water tank and soak it for a certain time according to the instructions. After disinfection, open the water inlet valve and empty the internal air to ensure that the disinfectant is completely discharged. If there is a situation where the disinfectant cannot be eliminated, it is necessary to turn on the power supply along the overflow port to allow the machine to automatically enter water and completely drain the internal water. After washing off the disinfectant, the equipment can be used normally.
V. Measuring water quality
The core function of reverse osmosis water generator is to filter impurities in water and improve water quality. Therefore, water quality testing is very necessary.
Regularly use a water quality meter to check the effluent quality of the reverse osmosis water generator to see if the effluent quality conforms to the standard. If the test results are poor, it is necessary to check whether the filter element needs to be replaced or whether other components are damaged.
The maintenance of the reverse osmosis water generator is very important, which can ensure the long-term stable use of the equipment, safety and environmental protection, while providing high-quality and safe drinking water. The above is the maintenance method for reverse osmosis water generator. I hope readers can pay attention to maintenance and ensure water quality in daily use.
